It’s Getting Better

is my ‘diary’ or ‘journal’ blog and it’s got stuff about our day to day lives and what our 3 year old German Shepherd dog is getting up to.  There’s also some stuff about GAY RIGHTS  - coz I’ve spent a chunk of my life getting a fairer deal for gay people in the UK and am now trying to help others achieve that in the US and several other parts of the world.

We live in the Peak District in Derbyshire, England and through this valley once  ran the Midland Railway, which became the LMS and then British Rail.  Just now, what’s left of it, is now  being  run by a private company again.

For a bit of fun we’re trying to build a model railway based on the line hereabouts -  in our loft.

I’m also interested in canals (Pete and I used to run  a holiday business based on the canals and rivers), in industrial archaeology  and in broadcasting -  particularly the Pirate Radio stations of long ago.

The  ’brother’ blog to this is  Kieran’s Kingdom
which is the title of a gay book I wrote a while ago.

It was serialised on the blog earlier.  It is still available to read under a link on the right hand sidebar.

More recently there’s been a series of Short Stories about gay relationships and now the blog hosts MARC (the weekly serial about a boy growing up gay), a number of boy videos (NO! Not THAT sort!) and some of the pictures and stuff which used to be on Smutty Stuff but which Nibblebit will not now permit.
